OVERVIEW

We suggest you discover the exotic boundaries known in antiquity as the “Pillars of Hercules”, nowadays known as the “Strait of Gibraltar”.  On the northern side of the Strait are Tarifa (Spain) and Gibraltar (UK), while on the southern side is Tanger (Morocco), 2 continents, 3 countries, 3 tricky and original sprints in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.

In Tanger, you’ll discover a unique city bearing a multicultural heritage. At the foot of the high walls of the “Kasbah”, run through the alleys of the great “Socco”, and admire the fortress that dominates the medina.  Facing Morocco you will feel the same in Tarifa but with a Spanish atmosphere running in the remains of the medieval walls. Gibraltar, the Rock strengthened in the past as a fortress, will surprise you with its forts, walls, and narrow streets.

AVAILABILITY

This camp is available all year long. From 2023 we included a system of “virtual controls”: O-Range (for Garmin watches). This way, you can run the courses at any moment, and get a signal from your watch when you reach the control!

DESCRIPTION OF COMPLEMENTARY SERVICES TO THE TECHNICAL OFFER OF “WAY TO MOROCCO”

Once the customer arrives at the Tarifa port with the orienteering maps already purchased from Sun-O, several service options are available:

1. 1-Day Trip to the Medina of Tangier on Your Own
The customer arranges their own ferry tickets and crosses the border on foot to carry out the training or sports-tourism activity in the Medina of Tangier.

2. 1-Day Trip to the Medina of Tangier with a Companion Guide Service
The customer hires a companion/assistant guide who will meet them after crossing the border and guide them to the meeting point. From there, the customer(s) can explore the Medina, while the guide waits at the agreed location, safeguarding their backpacks until they return.
– Service duration: approximately 2 hours.
– Cost: €20 (paid directly to the guide).
– The guide service is provided by SAFIRVIAJES and payment is made directly to them.

3. 1-Day Trip to the Medina of Tangier with Companion Guide Service + Ferry Ticket Management
Similar to option 2, but SAFIRVIAJES also handles the ferry tickets. Contact info@safirviajes.com for a personalized offer.

4. 1-Day Trip to the Medina of Tangier + Perdicaris with Companion Guide Service + Ferry Ticket Management + Transfer Medina-Perdicaris-Tangier Port
Similar to option 3. After the Medina visit, the guide accompanies the group via transfer to Perdicaris for a forest trail experience, remaining with the group throughout, and returns with them to Tangier port.
